At the Undergraduate Research Celebration hosted by the KU Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships, we celebrated undergraduate researchers from the Corson Lab, including Emerging Scholars Morgen and Andrea.
For the Halloween season, members of the Corson lab attended this year’s Haunted Humanities at Abe & Jakes Landing for a social gathering that was fun, spooky, and educational for all ages involved!
At the 2025 CEBC Industry Advisory Board Meeting, the Corson Lab got the opportunity to attend the "Rising to Challenges & Needs of the Chemical Industry" workshop, as well as networking with some of the industry guests. Dr. Kinithi Wickramaratne also presented her work on mapping the electric double layer using X-ray reflectivity. Overall, we had a lot of fun!
Dr. Apoorva Ranjekar and Prof. Elizabeth Corson attended the 2025 Great Plains Catalysis Society Symposium, held at Iowa State University. Dr. Ranjekar presented his research on Electrochemical Conversion of Groundwater Nitrate to Ammonia during the poster session.
Congratulations to this year's REU students, Tej Maheshwari and Morgen Keller, for their successful poster presentations after researching all summer!
This summer, the Corson Lab took a break from research to have some fun at Sinkers Lounge.
This spring, Dr. Corson and PhD student Seth Takyi went to NASA's Glenn Research Center to meet with collaborators.
The Corson Lab and some family members went bowling at Royal Crest Lanes this Spring! It was a close game, and everyone ended up having a good time.
Researchers from the Corson Lab participated in the C&PE Undergraduate Research Fair, and it was a fantastic experience! The undergraduates were highly interested in our work, and it was great to see their passion for research.
The Corson Lab explored the Spencer Art Museum! Some favorites included the new Native Fashion exhibit and the Pale Lens sculpture by Frederick John Eversley, pictured here.

The Corson Lab traveled to Stanford, California this August 2024 to conduct in situ X-ray reflectivity experiments at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL).
